Thailand, Day 2

Grand Palace. It is a complex of numerous buildings, halls and pavilions, surrounded by lawns, courtyards, and gardens, located at the heart of Bangkok.

Restoration work being done on the paintings
Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Located inside the Grand Palace complex. The intricacy of the detail on the temple design is mind-boggling. You have to pay to enter the palace, so I don't have photos of the Emerald Buddha. Charging us with every step, jeez.

Vimanmek Royal Mansion, the largest building in the world made entirely of golden teak. It is located in the Dusit Palace complex.

An ancient cloth museum
Wat Pho. Also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Only I don't have photos of the Reclining Buddha.

Chao Phraya River Cruise. Includes a buffet and a cruise along the Bangkok river way at night.

What the cruise boat looks like
An illuminated temple by the river
