The Island Garden City of Samal is located off the coast of mainland Davao, and is a 45-minute boat ride away from Sta. Ana port. It houses the famous Davao Pearl Farm Resort and the Monfort Bat Cave, the largest colony of Geoffrey's Rousette fruit bats (Rousettus amplexicaudatus) in the world.
